Questions about BNPL

What is BNPL on a credit card in Pakistan?

Bank Alfalah and MCB let their credit card holders buy listed products and pay in equal monthly instalments at 0% markup. You pay the product's price spread over the months you choose. Some plans add a one-time processing fee.

Which products can I buy on 0% instalments?

Only the products on each bank's list. KonsaCard tracks 2,183 of them, including phones, ACs, fridges, TVs, washing machines and motorbikes.

Can I use a debit card?

No. These plans are for credit cards only. Some cards are excluded, for example corporate cards and Bank Alfalah's Islamic cards, which have a separate product.

How do I book a plan?

Through the bank. Bank Alfalah asks you to call its helpline, 111-225-111. MCB runs its plans through the bank and its partner dealers.

How current are these prices?

Each product shows the date of the bank's list it comes from. KonsaCard reads the banks' lists every day, but prices change often, so confirm with the bank before you buy.
